STORY OUTLINE
A. TEXT 1 TALAGA WARNA
Characters :
The King , Queen, And Princess
Orientation :
A long time ago, there was a kingdom in West
Java. The King was wise. No wonder the Kingdom was prosperous.
Unfortunately, he didn’t any children yet.
Complication :
When the King give the
necklace to the princess. The princess accepted and looked at it briefly. "I don't like it. It is ugly!" then she threw it away. Everybody
didn't believe that the princess would do such a cruel things to hurt
everybody's feeling. All were sad.
Resolution :
Then there was a
miracle. The earth was crying. Suddenly a spring emerged from the found. The water drowned the kingdom. People called the lake "Talaga warna" on
the bright day, it's full of colours around the lake. However, some people said
that the shadows are from the pieces of princess necklace which scaterred the
of the lake.
Moral
Value :
Accept
it for what it is that has given other people and do not make other people
disappointed that they feel hurt.
B. TEXT 2 SANGKURIANG
Characters :
Sangkuriang and Dayang Sumbi
Orientation :
Once upon a time, there lived a beautiful
woman named Dayang Sumbi. She lived lonely in a hut in the forest.
Complication :
Knowing that Sangkuriang almost finished his
work, Dayang Sumbi was worried. So she made a trick by switching her self with
white clothes on the sky. When Sangkuriang knew that Dayang Sumbi cheated, he
was very angry.
Resolution :
Sangkuriang kicked his boat with strong
power so that the boat was flown on the sky and fell down on the mountain
facing downward. Since the people called it Mount Tangkuban Perahu.
Moral Value :
That human life should not be selfish, but
must use conscience before performing an action. And if a son married the legal
parents is forbidden.
C. TEXT 3 THE OLD WOMAN AND THE SPARROW

Kindhearted man, Wife of kindhearted man, Old woman, and The Sparrow

Once upon time, there lived a kindhearted man
and his wife. one morning, his wife found a poor little sparrow. she took it
gently and fed it. to show its gratitude, the sparrow stayed with them and sang
every morning. but there was an ill - tempered old woman who didn't like the
sparrow. she cut the sparrow tongue. that's why the bird flew away to his
previous nest.
Complication :
The
old woman cut the sparrow tongue and Being jealous, the ill - tempered old
woman did the same things as the kind man and woman did. she chose the big
basket, which actually contained wasps and venomous crawlers such as scorpions,
centipedes, and other horrible creatures. finally, the stung and bit her to
death.
Resolution :
The ill – old woman cut the sparrow tongue.
